  : I was motivated to book this hotel because they have large room sizes and they offer an elevator to upper floors. I use a wheelchair, so a larger room and an elevator are definitely two things I require. The photos of the room looked nice and in that case, the real thing did live up to the expectation. The room decor and wooden floors were nice. Although the rooms are large, the space in the room wasn’t utilized well so some spaces were too tight while other large spaces were essentially unused. The bathroom in our room seemed to not be updated although the rooms and hotel in general were clean. The breakfast was also fine. We assumed the lower price of the hotel (compared to other parts of the city) was due to its location but not the quality of the hotel. We might have been a bit misguided in our presumption. I think one reason we chose it was the nicer, updated bedding and decor in pictures, but the floor plans didn’t seem to be adjusted or improved when updates were made. We would not have known any better without an actual visit which is why I am leaving this review in case anyone else in my situation can be alerted ahead of a visit and avoid some of the frustrations we faced. Also, we booked two rooms. In ours, the AC wasn’t working well at all making for a hot, stuffy night while in the other room, the AC worked well.
  : I hate to say it, but when we arrived as my husband checked in, our 17 and 20 years old sons asked if that hotel was the only thing available… with a look of concern on their faces. It wasn’t the only thing available… it’s just that I assumed we’d found a deal like we usually do. I’ve never actually experienced this before, but there are a LOT of stairs leading from the street to the reception desk. An elevator to upper floors is advertised but the only way to access that elevator is halfway down a steep ramp leading down into the garage. As far as we can tell, you can’t get to the garage and therefore the elevator unless you’ve already checked in and have agreed to pay for parking. Perhaps you COULD get to the elevator if you must once you are checked in if you aren’t parking a car, but you would have to climb stairs to check in… and then you would have to deal with ramps that are far too steep for anyone actually needing an elevator. As well, the hallway leading from the garage to the elevator is so narrow I had to hold my arms up high (like when you ride a roller coaster) with my husband or son pushing my wheelchair). My wheelchair is more narrow than most, by the way. Also, once at the elevator, I was shocked to find out that a wheelchair doesn’t fit in that elevator without a strong person that can pick up that wheelchair and place it in the other direction than you are facing when entering the elevator. I’ve traveled a lot and have ridden a lot of one person little elevators. This was smaller than all of those and made no sense… as I could never have gotten it turned in the right direction to allow the doors to close by myself. A person in a wheelchair alone could never check in or get to that elevator alone… and then they could not ever ride that elevator alone either. I know I am disabled and so have expectations you might assume I should not, but after the fact, I would have passed on this hotel. Those issues would have been dealbreakers.

  : It was in an excellent location, close to many restaurants, bars, and trendy areas. The staff was awesome, shout out to Stefan who was amazing, and accommodated us in any means necessary.
  : 3rd bed for our group of 3 travellers was not comfortable. The room could be a bit stuffy.
